An Art Deco oak coal scuttle purdonium, of rectangular form with a hinged fall front and shaped side handles. The front is finished with a geometric oak detail and a simple horizontal handle, raised on shaped bracket feet. The interior is open and designed for coal storage, with a sloping inner section typical of this form.

The piece is in good overall condition for its age, with general marks and wear consistent with use. There are some losses to the front two feet, as shown in the photographs. The surface shows age related wear and minor scuffs. Please review the photos for a full assessment of the condition.
