An Antique Victorian Mahogany Inlaid Double Wardrobe ~Delivery Available~

This is a beautiful 19th century Victorian mahogany double wardrobe with decorative urn marquetry inlay to both doors, fine string inlay and shaped panel mouldings. The wardrobe has a moulded cornice with dentil detailing above two panelled doors, opening to reveal a hanging rail, a row of hooks and an additional hanging rack inside the right door. Below are two full-width drawers (the top one being faux) with brass drop handles, all supported on shaped bracket feet. The mahogany displays attractive figured grain and a warm colour throughout.

The wardrobe is in used antique condition with surface marks, scratches and wear consistent with age and use. The right door is bowed slightly to the right, leaving an uneven gap between the doors as shown. There are splits and small losses to sections of the veneer and mouldings, including around the central door edging and the moulding above the drawers. There is also damage to the lower rear edge of the right side, along with wear and marking to the interior. Some historic woodworm is present underneath, with no active woodworm.
