This is a 19th-century mahogany bureau desk featuring a drop-front writing surface and a fitted interior with small drawers and compartments. The exterior has decorative inlaid details and brass oval handles on the drawers. The bureau stands on bracket feet and offers ample storage with a combination of two smaller drawers above three larger ones. The interior writing surface is lined with red fabric and comes with a previous purchase receipt from an auction in 1920!

The bureau shows signs of age and use, with wear visible on the edges, feet, and drawer fronts. There are scuffs, scratches, and some areas of veneer loss, particularly around the drawers and corners. The interior writing surface has marks and signs of wear.
