This is an antique style oak lift-up blanket box, constructed in oak with panelled sides and front. The chest features a hinged lid with decorative metal hinges and a moulded edge, opening to a spacious interior suitable for blanket, linen or general household storage. The front is finished with carved detail beneath the top edge, with panelled construction continuing around the sides.

The chest is in great overall condition with minor age-related wear. The top shows some dents, staining and surface marks as photographed, together with light scratches and signs of use consistent with age. There are minor scuffs to the edges and lower sections, but the chest remains sturdy and presents well throughout. Please review the photos for a full assessment of the condition.
