This is an antique-style burr walnut bureau desk featuring a fall-front writing surface and two shaped lower drawers with decorative brass handles. The piece is supported by four carved cabriole legs and has a figured burr walnut veneer across the front and writing flap. Inside, the fitted interior includes pigeonholes and small drawers, and the fall-front is lined with a red tooled leather writing surface.

The bureau is in very good condition overall, with clean joints and smooth drawer action. There are some minor stains and marks visible on the top surface and light wear to the writing area.
