This small chest of drawers is an antique style piece by G.T. Rackstraw. It is made from burr yew wood veneer with a warm brown finish and a rectangular top with a moulded edge. The front is fitted with four drawers, each with two round metal knobs, and the cabinet stands on a shaped plinth base. Its compact size makes it suitable for use as a bedside table or small storage unit.
The chest is in excellent condition overall. It has a manufactured aged look, with intentional marks, colour variation, and surface character designed to give an older appearance rather than signs of damage.
