This antique style twin pedestal desk is made from flame mahogany and features a rectangular top with a black leather writing surface decorated with gilt tooling. The desk has eight drawers in total, with three drawers across the top and three graduated drawers to the left pedestal and one small over one deep to the right. It is fitted with brass swan neck handles and stands on shaped bracket feet. The flame mahogany veneers display attractive figuring throughout the drawer fronts, with panelled sides and a modesty panel to the rear.
The desk is in excellent condition overall, with minor marks consistent with age and use. There is a stain to the leather top, as shown in the photographs, along with light surface wear and small signs of use to the finish. There is a mark to the top left hand side as shown. The drawers operate smoothly and the desk remains solid and well presented. Please review the photos for a full assessment of the condition.
