This is an antique mid 20th-century oak bureau bookcase desk with a glazed top section and a fall-front base. The top has two glass doors with decorative coloured glass panels and height-adjustable shelves inside. The base has a sloping fall front that opens to an interior fitted with small drawers and pigeonholes, along with two full-width drawers below. The desk stands on turned front legs joined by stretchers.

The piece shows age-related wear with marks and scratches to the oak surfaces. The fall front opens and closes well with the left hinge being replaced and interior marks. The base handles show some losses but remain sturdy. The drawers show signs of use to the runners and interiors. The top section key is present and working.
