This is an antique Louis XV-style ladies' writing desk bureau with marquetry decoration. The desk has a sloping fall front fitted with a velvet writing surface and opens to reveal two small drawers and additional storage space. The exterior features floral inlay to the fall front, with gilt metal mounts on the cabriole legs and a pierced brass gallery running along the back edge of the top. The piece stands on slender shaped legs, giving it an elegant profile.

The desk shows surface wear and age-related marks to the wood and fittings. The velvet writing surface has some fraying around the edges. The brass mounts and gallery have tarnishing consistent with age. Hinges and fittings remain functional, though aged. Please review the photos for a full assessment of the condition.
