This antique roll top tambour desk bureau is made from golden oak and features a curved tambour front that opens to reveal a fitted interior with small pigeon holes and compartments. The desk has a wide working surface, a central kneehole, and banks of drawers to each side, all fitted with wooden handles. The sides and front panels show clear oak grain, and the overall form is solid and well balanced.

The desk is in good condition for its age, showing general wear consistent with use, including surface marks and handling wear to the top and drawer fronts. The tambour operates as it should, although the lock does not work, and the drawers open and close smoothly.
