An Antique Georgian 18th Century Oak Bureau Desk ~Delivery Available~
This is an antique Georgian oak bureau desk dating from the 18th century. The bureau is made from solid oak with a sloping fall front that opens to reveal a fitted interior, including pigeon holes, small drawers, and a central section with hidden drawers behind, as shown in the photographs. Below the bureau section are one long drawer, followed by two short over two long drawers, all fitted with brass handles, and the piece stands on shaped bracket feet. The wood has a rich, aged tone consistent with its period.
The bureau is in great condition for its age. There are minor marks, dents, and surface wear throughout, which are consistent with use over time. There is evidence of old worm damage to the rear panels; this is no longer active and has been fully treated. The drawers open and close as they should, and the bureau interior remains complete and functional. Please review the photos for a full assessment of the condition.
