An Antique Early Victorian Linen Press Wardrobe Chest of Drawers ~Delivery Avail
This is an Early Victorian linen press wardrobe in mahogany, comprising a two door upper section above a chest of drawers base. The top section features two panelled doors opening to an interior fitted with a hanging rail, with a moulded cornice above. The base includes two short drawers over two long drawers, all fitted with round brass handles. The piece stands on shaped bracket feet, and the top section can be removed for transport.
The item is in used condition with wear and damage consistent with age. The right door is slightly bowed and does not sit perfectly flush towards the bottom. There are areas of veneer wear and surface marks across the drawers and doors, along with scuffs and losses to the lower edges and feet. There is visible damage to the side panel and some misalignment to the drawers. General wear to the finish including sun bleaching is present throughout.
