This is an early 20th-century oak Lancashire dining chair with a traditional ladder-back design. The chair features five shaped horizontal slats, a gently curved back, and a hand-woven rush seat in a four-section pattern. The legs are round with a slight taper and are joined by plain stretchers, including a shaped front stretcher for added support and visual interest. The wood has a dark-stained finish with a natural grain visible throughout.

The chair shows signs of age and use, including surface wear and rubbing to the frame, particularly along the edges and legs. The rush seat is intact, with some signs of wear and light discolouration from use. There are no visible breaks or repairs, and the frame appears stable.
