This is an antique oak bookcase from the early 20th century. The bookcase has an open front with four height adjustable shelves, framed by turned side supports and finished with a moulded cornice. Decorative turned details are also present along the top rail. The oak has a dark polished finish that highlights the grain.

The condition shows typical wear for its age. There are surface marks and small scratches to the wood, with some areas of rubbing to the edges and corners. The shelves remain sturdy and secure, and the overall structure is sound and the back panel would have been replaced at some point in its life.
