This is an early 20th-century mahogany kidney-shaped desk or dressing table. The piece features a raised gallery along the back and sides, and a removable fitted glass top to protect the surface. It has five drawers with decorative brass handles and finely carved floral detailing running along the top edge. The desk stands on elegant cabriole legs with carved shell motifs at the knees, showcasing the rich grain and warm tone of the mahogany.

The desk shows some sun bleaching to the top and small losses to sections of the gallery edge. The glass top is intact and provides a smooth, clean surface.
