This is a flame mahogany sideboard buffet from the early 20th century. It features a rectangular top with a raised back and central carved crest. The front is fitted with three central drawers, flanked by cupboards on either side, each door decorated with an oval panel and carved detailing to the corners. The drawers retain their brass handles, with the top drawer sectioned and lined in green baize. The piece is supported on cabriole legs with claw and ball feet. A maker’s plaque from G. Hall & Son, House Furnishers, Leicester, is fixed inside.
The sideboard is in good condition for its age, with light marks and surface wear consistent with use. The polish remains bright, though there are small scratches and areas of fading to the finish.
