An Antique 19th Century Mahogany Hall Console Table ~Delivery Available~

A characterful 19th century mahogany hall or console table, originally made as a sofa table with drop-leaf ends which have since been removed. It features two useful drawers with ring handles to the front, with matching faux drawer fronts to the reverse, allowing the table to present attractively from either side. The elegant swept supports terminate in brass-capped feet with castors, while the richly figured mahogany top gives the piece plenty of period character.

The table is in great overall antique condition, with various marks, stains and signs of wear throughout which give it a wonderfully characterful aged appearance. There is evidence of historic woodworm which has not been active for some time and the holes have been filled. As mentioned, the original drop ends are no longer present, leaving the table in its current rectangular form.
