An Antique 19th Century Golden Tiger Oak Twin Pedestal Sideboard Buffet ~Deliver
A substantial 19th Century golden tiger oak twin pedestal sideboard/buffet, displaying particularly attractive figuring throughout the oak. The piece has a broad moulded top with raised rear gallery, four frieze drawers fitted with brass drop handles, and twin pedestal cupboards below with decorative carved and panelled fronts. Further carved detailing around the kneehole and contrasting darker mouldings give the piece a strong architectural appearance, while the internal shelving provides plenty of practical storage.
The sideboard is in excellent antique condition overall and has clearly been well looked after, with only light marks and wear consistent with age and use. There is a shrinkage split to the top as shown in the photographs, which is stable and does not detract from the overall appearance or usability of the piece. The main top section can be removed from the two pedestal bases, making the sideboard considerably easier to transport and install.
