This is an antique Victorian mahogany bureau bookcase desk featuring a glazed top section with two glass-paneled doors and adjustable interior shelving. The lower section includes a drop-front writing surface that opens to reveal small drawers, pigeonholes, and a central cupboard. Beneath the writing area, there are four drawers with brass handles, providing additional storage. The piece stands on a sturdy plinth base and is finished with decorative moulding along the top.

The bookcase shows signs of age and use, including surface wear, scuffs, and scratches. The glass panels are intact, and the wood has areas of fading and minor veneer imperfections. The writing surface has wear, and the drawers show signs of use inside. There are some veneer losses and the top of the glass door is slightly bowed.
